Delphix Compliance Accelerator (dxac) is the tool to configure masking for packaged applications.

Packaged Applications

A packaged application is a fully functional application that users can view, use and customize. Some examples of packaged applications include Salesforce, Trizetto Facets and Oracle EBS.

Most packaged applications have a default database schema that can be extended by end users with customizations that benefit their requirements.

Why Delphix Compliance Accelerator?

Identification of sensitive data, also known as “database profiling”, is one of the most challenging and time-consuming stages of a data masking project.

As the default database schema of packaged applications will remain constant across deployments, Delphix can perform database profiling for the tables in the default database schema and provide the results as a quick-starter masking metadata bundle that can be easily deployed onto Delphix Masking engines.

Delphix Compliance Accelerator includes this quick-starter masking metadata bundle (resource) along with a command line tool (dxac) that can deploy the metadata bundle onto Delphix Masking engines.

Terminology

• Resource: This refers to the masking metadata bundle that is the result of the database profiling done at Delphix. This bundle may include Algorithms, Domains, Profiler Expressions etc., that will be deployed to a Delphix Continuous Compliance engine.

• dxac command line tool: An executable cli that deploys the resource to a Delphix Continuous Compliance engine.

dxac can be downloaded from Delphix Downloads.

Please make sure that you download the correct distribution for your Operating System.

What’s included in the download?

Your download will include a tar file ( or zip file for Windows) with the following contents.

• Resource folder that contains all the resources that need to be deployed to a Delphix Masking engine.

• dxac command line tool.
